I’m 21, from Silver Spring, and a business student at the University of Maryland.

This started with my own car. My headlights were cloudy, so I fixed them myself. Then my family wanted theirs done, then my friends did, and people kept being surprised by how much better they looked.

After about a year of that, I figured I’d turn it into an actual business. I’m still in school, so this is how I’m helping pay for college. I take my time on every car, because it’s my name on the work.

How it works

  1. Schedule

    Pick a day and time that works for you. When I text you back, I’ll ask for a $10 deposit. Once it’s in, your time is locked in.

  2. I come to you

    Home, work, wherever your car is parked. I bring everything I need. You don’t have to stay outside.

  3. Restore

    About 45–60 minutes for both headlights, depending on their condition.

    1. CleanDirt and grime off the lens.
    2. SandOxidation and yellowing removed in finer and finer stages.
    3. PolishBrought back to a crystal-clear finish.
    4. ProtectCeramic/UV coating to slow future yellowing.

  4. Drive clear

    Once the job’s done, pay me the remaining $40 in person by cash, Zelle, Cash App or Venmo, and see the road properly again.

If you’re not happy with my restoration work, you don’t pay for the service. Restoration can’t fix deep cracks, moisture or damage inside the housing, so if I see something like that, I’ll tell you before I start.

The work happens outdoors, so it has to be dry. Sunny or cloudy is fine; if it rains, we’ll pick another day.

What’s included for $50?

The $50 service covers both headlights and includes cleaning, multi-stage sanding, polishing and a protective ceramic/UV coating. Coming to you within 10 miles of Silver Spring (20906) is included too.

Do you come to me?

Yes. DMV Headlight Restore is completely mobile, so I come directly to you. Travel within 10 miles of Silver Spring (20906) is included in the $50. Locations 10–20 miles away have a $10 travel fee. Farther than that? Text me and I’ll let you know if I can make it out to you.

How long does it take?

Most restorations take around 45–60 minutes, depending on the condition of the headlights.

Do I need to be there?

Nope. As long as I can get to the car, you don’t need to stay outside. I’ll let you know when it’s finished.

How long will my headlights stay clear?

Every car is different. With the protective coating, results can last up to around a year, depending on sun exposure, weather, driving conditions, where the car is parked and the original condition of the lenses.

What if my headlights are cracked?

I can remove or greatly improve most yellowing, oxidation, haze and some surface imperfections. Deep cracks or damage within the lens can’t be completely removed by sanding and polishing. If I notice damage that may affect the result, I’ll tell you before I start.

Can you make every headlight look brand new?

I aim for the best possible result on every set, but every headlight is different. Most oxidation and yellowing can be dramatically improved. Deep cracking, moisture or haze inside the housing, or physical damage inside the headlight may remain.

What happens if it rains?

The restoration is done outdoors, so it needs dry weather. Sunny and cloudy days are fine, but I don’t work in rain or bad weather. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll find another day that works for you.

What if I’m not happy with the results?

I want you to be happy with the work. If you’re not satisfied with my restoration, you don’t pay for the service. If your headlights have physical damage that restoration can’t fix, I’ll let you know before I begin whenever possible.

How do I pay?

I take cash, Zelle, Cash App and Venmo. When we set up your appointment by text, I’ll ask for a $10 deposit. Your time is confirmed once it’s sent, and it goes toward your $50 total. You pay the rest in person when the job’s done.

What happens if I cancel?

Your $10 deposit goes toward your total. If you cancel on the same day as your appointment, the deposit is forfeited. Need to move it earlier than that? Just text me.
